The boy with the saw is James Mazzamuto, our CEO today.

Our family has been building since 1938, starting with a grandfather doing cabinetry and construction in Sicily. Gerolamo Mazzamuto was a carpenter and woodworker. Some of the buildings he worked on there are now considered historic. He brought his family to America in 1955 and settled in Martinez.

The company was founded here in Contra Costa in 1958. His son James built it into the general contractor it is today. James is CEO today. His sons, Gino and Mario, run it with him as President and Vice President. Three generations, the same trade, the same town.

How we work

Every project runs on the 16-step Mazzamuto Method. Design is completed before anything is priced. Pricing is a measured takeoff, not an estimate. Construction runs on a dependency-based schedule you can open any time. Most homeowners make it from first visit to construction start in fewer than six meetings.

The showroom

Selections happen in our private showroom at 837 Arnold Drive in Martinez. Real samples, organized selections and a designer beside you. The showroom is home to Bella Casa Cabinets & Design, our in-house cabinet and countertop studio, so your cabinets are designed, priced and ordered by the same team that builds your kitchen.
